Opel Ascona C 82, 55kw

Hi, I made topic here about my Ascona C, to get some good advice and so on.
Car is from year 82 , I got it free from my brother-in-law, he bought it from his aunts husband and he bought it from a car sell place.
When it was my brother-in-laws, it standed 10 years, till this summer.About that 10 year, it standed outside nine months and outside 9 year.
I started to repair and renovate it. There is mutch to do.

NOW: I'll get the car to workplace and start to end bodyworks, to do engine maintenance: spark plugs,spark wires,oli for engine and oil for gearbox, and to fix carburetor.
To do undercarriage repair and maintenance. And finally to paint the car.

damnnn you really have some work to do with that It sure is nice to see when someone resuscitates an old car that have seen some tough love.

Today, car got to my workplace.
I took carburetor apart, cleaned and analyzed it, there's nothing wrong with it. With coworker, we started to search why car doesn't have idle, we thought, that something is wrong with vacuum, but no.
Then we heared a loud clatter in the engine, there was clatting one of the valve,but don't no which one. Coworker believe, thing could be in cylinder compression. Car starts with a moment, but doesn't have idle.
Also I filled and tomorrow I finish and fill more.

But, anyway, today, I'll go to get a new engine, 1.6 55kw mono - from Opel Kadett Cabrio Bertone
Plans with this engine: to dress engine block, lap valves, replace gaskets and piston rings.
Does somebody knows, that how mutch i get from dressing engine block?

That's why old engine clapped..




Both heads got 1mm off..

Third heart.

New valve gaskets,head gasket,inlet and outlet gaskets, new timing belt too.

Engine has put together,new oil and oilfilter too.
I welded muffler..




New sparkplugs,sparkplug cables,new fuel,cooling fluid and oil hoses.

I need that kind of PIERBURG carburetor, because, i don't have an idle .. :S

there should be a separate idle valve or something like that.. i once had old wv passat with pierpurg garburettor and had nothing but problems with it. it's propably easier to find different garburettor maybe weber or other modern garb. google should have some info about it..
