Opel Club Finland (OCF)

Hello good people! My Finnish is not good enough so i better write in English. Im looking for good Opel service around Helsinki. Im driving Astra H OPC . Lately having issues with turbo overboost and need someone to take a look at it. Have visited few workshops but they had no ideas how to help me. Need to find some garage where they have experience on turbo Opels.

Hmm .. so many Opels in Finland but this forum is dead as fuck. Weird.

Take it to Metroauto or Länsiauto, they should be able to fix said problem. First have trouble codes read, might be a small issue like vacuum hose come loose.

I have been im Metroauto before. Never again. They charge like crazy but not fixing the problem.
Now i have no trouble codes but boost gauge shows 1.4 bar instead of 1.0.

Wich codes did you get? Sounds like some valve has stuck and not letting extra boost to escape.

Right now i don't have any trouble codes. I have read on VXR online that usually overboost don't give any codes. All i get is noise . It sounds like blow of valve which i dont have)) it might be loose or cracked pipes but i cant check it by my self. (

So if i got it right, you have too much boost but it sounds like the boost is escaping? Are you sure that the engine doesn't have blow off installed and ecu tuned for overboost?

No man. Car is complete stock. Turbo is new installed about a year ago. Noise started afte driving 250 km/h in Germany last summer.

Propably best to look some workshop specialized in gas turbo engines. Is it sounding like blow off at overboost or continuous sound?

Its sounds like a blow off at overboost. Specialy on second and third geat when changing gears at around 3000rpm .

Propably better go to workshop to sort it out, I don't know if it has by-pass or something to prevent pressure shock when releasing throttle but surely doens't sound right.

So if it stock turbo, it has by-pass made by Bosch and it's crap. Made out of rubber and doesn't last Finnish winters. If it's that buy Forge which is made of aluminium.
